I think it’s the courts. I have found no provision in Texas or Federal law for a “no-knock” warrant.

Author would have done better to just address the no knock raids rather than try to tie it to legalization of pot.

The overwhelming majority are done at a state level. A state could ban “no-knock” raids and legally the Fed would not be able to circumvent that law. Not that it would probably stop them.

I predict that at some point it will become so prevalent that people will start to retaliate. A few of these thugs get their houses burned to the ground in the middle of the night or get one through the forehead while driving to the donut shop; a .50 cal through the side of the SWAT van etc. etc. Its bound to start happening. I’m suprised it hasn’t already.
