Your premise has no substance for the conclusions you seem to want to draw

Please don’t insult honest, hard-working turtles with that kind of comparison!

When the Gelded Old PANSIES start attacking the ‘Rats, they might win a few races. Attacking your base is FUBAR.

Most Tea Party groups endorsed Dwayne Stovall. But, there was no money. But, it did force Cornyn to spend $6-8 Million of his campaign war chest.Stovall's entire budget was less that $75,000. That doesn't speak well of his tea party support, I'm afraid. Over and over, I'm seeing the same thing - lots of mouth and not much money. Well, politics takes money - great honking gobs of it - and if the Tea Partiers aren't willing to dig deep they will continue to see the back end of the GOPe candidates' Cadillacs as they drive off into the sunset, secure in their next term in office.
btw, not picking on you, Din. It's just something that needs to be said.

Spoken like a true democrat. To quote Ms. Lauper - I see his true colors shining through.

I think hes feeling his oats because Cornyn won without a run-off.I think you hit the nail on the head and that's where all this hubris stems from. He saw that race and thought, "Hey, they still love us!"

Well, what stands out to me in your post is that the granny looks serious, determined and is not pigeon-toed. The Turtle, not so much.
