Those who have a vested interest in big government aren’t so enthusiastic about losing their jobs.

“ Even if man were nothing but a piano key, even if this were proved to him by natural science and mathematics, even then he would not become reasonable, but would purposely do something perverse out of sheer ingratitude, simply to have his own way…then, after all, perhaps only by his curse will he attain his object, that is, really convince himself that he is a man and not a piano key! If you say that all this, too, can be calculated and tabulated…then man would purposely go mad in order to be rid of reason and have this own way. ”

You mean every one of America’s three hundred million folks could have a thousand acres of land free of charge?

Wow, that’s excellent!

I’ve seen reference to universities accepting transfer credit for online courses. Khan University and other places offer free courses.

There is a significant opportunity for making education readily available for very low costs, if it is “allowed.”

Education for those at low economic levels makes it possible for them to acquire the knowledge to improve their well being.

Obviously I’m only talking about those willing to do so.

The cost of “higher education” is ridiculous, so I foresee a potential “revolution” in education opportunity, if “allowed.”

What this article says is true... but it does not go far enough. We are at the dawn of a new technological revolution, one far more powerful and sweeping than any that have come before.

As always, thanks 2ndDivisionVet for keeping us all informed about these important matters... you are a tireless FRiend.

Retarded as the article yesterday claiming America is fat, wasteful and lacks charity to feed others.

Let’s take charity:
We export more food to the world than all other countries combined.

Egypt erupts in riots if we forget to send food to their ports for only three days.

Cuba has another Mariana boat lift if they don’t receive our shipments of food and medical supplies.

China just let’s their people starve if rice and wheat suddenly don’t appear on their shores from Murica.

Americans are fat:
Uhm yeah and so are a good many immigrants who were previously malnourished or skinny.

Maybe coming to America isn’t such a healthy choice.

Americans toss more food in the trash than the entire world combined:
“And? We’re Americans. We give a **ck.”

Heck, even the people of Somalia are eating more than at anytime in their history because of American generosity.

So, cry me a river.

In an age of technological retreat? Put the Concorde back in the sky and maybe I’ll think any of it is true. Dark ages are just one or two EMPs, solar storms and/or several volcanic events away.
