Definitely not an obligation. Tons of families can’t afford to send the kids to school. Especially since she’s not willing to take their money on their terms. Must be a Democrat.

This man Inglesino induces vomiting. It is a noble and charitable act to give a teenager refuge when she is having serious difficulties with her parents. Its an entirely different and malevolent action when instead of helping them to reconcile you further alienate the girl from her family by initiating a lawsuit and hope to profit from it.

I know a man who was hauled into court because he refused to pay for his son to attend Harvard. The kid was offered a partial scholarship to Penn State, but wanted to go to Harvard. The father was a non-custodial parent and the mother was pushing for Harvard. The dad isn’t wealthy, he is just a middle class working guy, who happens to be Black, if that makes any difference.

Anyway, the Dad won. The kid went to Penn State, failed to keep up his grade point average and dropped out. Got mixed up with drugs, straightened himself out and decide to go back to Penn State at a satellite campus, but he died of pneumonia, the first semester back.

I don’t know what the point is, none I guess. It is just sometimes kids demand more than is even good for them and it takes some growing up to figure it all out. At least my friend made up with his son before he died and was paying for his return to school.

I know one who sued his own parents for his “future inheritance”. His parents paid him a sum to make the embarrassment end, which was FAR less than what the son would have inherited had he not pulled this stunt. Then, once that matter was settled, the dad cut him out of the will and subsequent testamentary trusts.

He should have just been a non-greedy non-a$$hole, in other words, a decent person.

Harvard, schmarvard.

Tuition there is a scam as the Institution has enough endowment income to make everyone's tuition covered.

If I were the judge in this case, I would dismiss it 5 minutes after the proceeding started and fine the girl those costs associated with the proceeding. I would also give her a lecture about being an adult that she would never forget.

Even is the parents win in court against this ungrateful pig (do I sound like Alex Baldwin?), they will be stuck with having her on their Obamacare health insurance policy until she’s 26.

Obama and his marxist minions really knew what they were doing to American society and the family. YES THEY DID!

You do not have to keep them on your plan. You can do so, if you can afford it or want to.

I do not think it is forced to pay for adult children.

The girl in the story should be forced to go live at the Y, work at a greasy spoon, with bathroom cleanup as one of her duties. Her phone should be reclaimed by her parents.

We do not owe our children anything once they reach 18. College is not a right. My granddaughter went to cosmetology school and HS at the same time, while working at a local grocery store PT. My grandson will either go Trades, or go for something in science and math, or both. He also plans to work his way through, knowing his parents cannot afford to hock themselves to put him through extra schooling. The boy is 11, and already a strong one.

I'm guessing you don't mean the Cornish variety, either.

Should my husband die I am left with nothing but my SS to live on. We went into debt to buy a starter home that 2 seniors could do the upkeep on on 1 floor, not 2. The well Kept 3,800 sq ft house was to big for just 2 old people and 2 floors was to many stairs to climb and maintain. Now it won’t sell as it sits in high CRIME Memphis.

We are a blended set of seniors both lost our spouses of many years. God put us together to take care and love each other.

We set up a Marital Trust so I would have the small estate if he dies first, due to age that is most likely, then separate trust for our Kids or Grand in my case. His dad is a spendaholic, I want my grandson to have a chance at trade school or college. I refuse to give his father a DIME. Nor is he the Trustee. My youngest son helps us when he is asked if he is not working that day. Instructions read Books and tuition per semester and 1 provable emergency fund with a $500 limit. Want more or need it GET A JOB. Tied up so tight no law suit or gold digger can get their fingers on it, no probate, and he does not get a dime until he is 30 if he does not get a higher education.

I am the oldest of 4, graduated HS in ‘66 dad was a boilermaker in a steel mill, we lived pay check to pay check. I knew there was not way I was going to college or trade school. I waited tables for a whole $1.50 per hr until I married. Biggest mistake I ever made, what turned out to be a abusive man. I walked out, could not drive, no job, no money 2 kids. I went to work in a factory and supported us.

For months, Rachel — an honor student, cheerleader, and lacrosse player — has been living with the family of her best friend and classmate, Jaime Inglesino, whose father, attorney John Inglesino, is bankrolling Rachel’s lawsuit. He’s also requesting in the lawsuit that the Cannings reimburse him for the legal fees, so far totaling $12,597, according to the paper.

Ah what is in it for him - oh never mind he’s just a great guy, yea sure.

She could just forget about college and marry up since she’s such a “complete package”...No?
