At 74, the former Beatle is still going strong, recently reuniting with Paul McCartney for special performances at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards and this month at the Beatles' 50th anniversary of their performance on American TV at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York. Ringo Starr's All Starr Bands have included some of the biggest stars of pop music. This particular track features Eric Carmen (The Raspberries), Greg Lake (King Crimson/ELP/Asia), Joe Walsh (James Gand/Eagles), Nils Lofgren (The E Street Band), Todd Rundgren (Nazz/The New Cars), Dave Edmunds (Rockpile), Roger Hodgson (Supertramp), Gary Brooker (Procol Harum), Peter Frampton ( Humble Pie/The Herd) and Simon Kirke (Free/Bad Company).

Here's yet another song Paul McCartney gave away to Peter Asher in 1965. By 1966 it was a top 10 hit in America. "D'oh".

Not to be outdone by Paul's generosity, John Lennon gave this throw-away song to his pal Billy Kramer. The song raced up the charts and won The Dakotas an opening spot on The Beatles first North American tour.
