Good deal.
Win the Senate!!
Whoa doggies. Udall is vulnerable.
I think its a good move for both. Unfortunately I will be moving out of Colorado before November.
Very much so.
Gardner is a RINO’s RINO. A small improvement on Udall who will bolt to invoke cloture several times in six years in a way that will be very painful for conservatives. He’s also about 5’5” and Udall will tower over him in debates.
If he or Stephens are the nominee, massive conservative disinterest in the race.
I suspect this means Stephens is out, though, as she occupies the same RINO space as Gardner and her last quarter finance report was terrible despite her endorsements from every GOP-E’er around. My suspicion is that the money guys are going to force her out and replace her RINO spot with Gardner in the primary and all the endorsements will move to Gardner.
I’m surprised that Buck endorsed Gardner. Gardner is WAY to the left of Buck.
Looks better.
He acknowledged the other fella has the best chance to win. How often doe a politician admit something like that?
Make like a democrat, and get your absentee ballot before you move...
Very few.
“For those in Colorado who didn’t like Buck being the potential nominee, this should be good news! “
OH YEAH! Double good news: no Buck for Senate AND Cory, because Cory is probably the most electable Republican in the state right now. He’s no tainted. Not offensive. Experienced with the press. Won two House elections now. Good looking, good family man. 3rd or 4th gen Colorodan. And quite conservative!
I’ve followed Cory’s House votes, and he’s DEFINITELY NOT A RINO. Would I like to have seen him vote like a Tea Party conservative? Yes. But Tea Party candidates can’t win in this state. Their 100% losing record proves it.
Gardner is in a district where he could have voted correctly on every bill and never been challenged. He chose to be one of the more moderate members of the GOP in the house.
“He chose to be one of the more moderate members of the GOP in the house.”
Perhaps he was planning on eventually running for Senate, or just as likely he was repeatedly threatened by the national party. He’s still by far our best choice in Colorado in terms of being electable and still being a conservative. Udall has voted with Obama 99% of the time and is nothing more than an obama clone. Also, note that Tea Party candidates have lost 100% of the time in Colorado.
Followup on my previous post. As I predicted, Amy Stephens has withdrawn from the Senate race.

The money guys did some major arm twisting on Buck and Stephens to make this happen. They now have their Chamber of Commerce guy as the Senate Candidate with no other moderates splitting the primary vote.
Gardner is very weak on illegal immigration. He won’t make the Senate worse in that regard if he beats Udall. But getting Gardner out of the house and replaced by a conservative like Buck will make the House a little better on illegal immigration. So at least there’s that.
Here are some of his ratings from groups I respect. Very weak.
FreedomWorks - 62%
Club for Growth - 69%
Heritage Action - 67%
Citizens Against Government Waste - 67%
National Small Business Association - 66%
Eagle Forum - 33%
How does Udall rate? It’s either Cory or Udall. Take your pick.

Vote R. We don’t suck quite as much as the D’s.
Getting real tired of it.
FYI - in case you haven’t seen this.
