Of course there are no perfect candidates. But when someone has done something completely off the wall that can be repeatedly exploited by the liberals and their media cronies and the person becomes unelectable, they might not be the right person to nominate.

Democrats can do almost anything and get a pass. A conservative is not given that kind of leeway. I’m not saying that is a good thing, it is simply reality and unless conservatives recognize that they will continue to put up candidates that will not win.

No he would not. He would be righteously angry. Many people claim God is love, but He hates sin, injustices, lying,.... I think he would treat people who claims to be Christians, then leads them into sin, like the Pharisees. Those who call evil good and good evil; abortion, ssm, slandering God people for political purposes, .....

I agree. If he had intended to change the world through political means, he would have overthrown Roman rule, become King and ruled from Jerusalem 2000 years ago.

No doubt you would agree that the fact he did not choose a political solution is not prescriptive for our involvement in politics. As long as we understand that the Kingdom of God is not built by human hands or political means, then political activity can even be a calling.

Nonetheless, it is possible to be critical of self-proclaimed Christian politicians without being hypocrites or pharisees. After all, by that standard, we would be open to the charge of pharasaism by criticizing Obama.
