Cool! I didn’t know they were still making the MIG 25.

Exactly.
Ahead of time? Now waaaaayyyyy behind the times.
Pierce of gas-guzzling shoot-me-first junk designed to go against a jet we never put on the line (B-70).

I don’t care what the Ruskies say. That thing looks like Rosie O’Donnel riding the Goodyear Blimp on radar!
Perfect target!

As a non-expert, I'm a tad confused.
1. The design is obviously pre-stealth..possibly not that important i that it seems to be viewed as a defensive fighter..protect the Rodina..
2. Why all the talk about the plane's radar..I thought that now, if you turn on your radar..you'r dead. Period..

All modern fighters (except for the fifth generation fighter aircraft) are not fully supersonic, since their supersonic flight time is limited to 515 minutes, due to various kinds of restrictions in the airframe design. I assume the author is speaking only of Russian aircraft, such as the predecessor MiG-25 that could dash at Mach 2.5 and burn out its engines in the process.

Ditto.
Birds of a feather...
To: sukhoi-30mki
Duration of the MiG-31 supersonic flight is only limited by the fuel supply Would that not be the limiting factor of all supersonic aircraft?

Nah, on the Mig-25 I think it was limited by how long it would take to break down.
Thus, this is an upgrade.

How does the Amos compare? Doesn’t it out range an F15 with AIM 120 AMRAM?

I believe the nickname given to this accomplished aircraft is “Raptor food.”
