Maybe you’re right, but my point in citing the statement by Trident is the fact that they made it, not the USCG.
It sounded more ‘agency’ than ‘family’...ya know?
Just fyi, the station, and others likely, doesn’t have any decision in who BiCoastal Media picks to supply the news feeds; they’ve used both and it only takes a second to miss who supplied it. Same goes for the PSAs I frequently hear for ‘They Work for Us’ paid by the National Treasury Employees Union (they were none-too-happy to hear about those spots...PSAs are inserted automatically by computer and they don’t listen to ‘broadcast reception’ during the show). Personally, I think they use both for news for obvious reasons.
