I feel for Time Warner customers, soon to be a part of the cable company that owns pMSNBC.
Comcrap just plain fails at customer service.
Is that good or bad?
If there was ever a company who deserved to go out of business it is AOL, last I heard parent of Time Warner.
My first thought is that with less competition, prices increase but the cable industry differs from say airline mergers and acquisitions. That is not a perfect example but I would imagine antitrust issues could be a concern.

Comcast owns NBC.
as if TW couldn’t get worse, now it will
Comcast knows that it’s all about who owns the bandwidth to the home. Smart move on their part.
A friend of mine in the biz said on Facebook:
>>NBC employees here in Sochi are stunned as this most likely means NBC will now sell the O&O’s. (OWNED/operated)
And yet they won’t invest in two miles of cable to bring 21st century connection speeds out to where I live.
I work for Comcast. The “all hands” meeting called for tomorrow should be interesting.
It’s usually better to be in the buyer company than the bought one. The bought ones will be out of work quickly.
How is Justice going to approve this?
What am I saying?????Never mind.
Unless you like paying higher cable bills, it’s bad.
Hmmmm. I had Comcast then Time Warner took over the city contract. Looks like we will be going back to Comcast.
Comcast is totally wired with The Regime.
Historic combo of the two crappiest TV monopolies in the nation.
How can this not be anti-competitive? Is there no more restriction on monopoly power in the USA?
Yep. You must have a thick skin ;-) I’m a Comcast customer and have had my go-rounds with the support group, but overall you guys provide good, fast, reliable service.
As for those whose undies are in a bunch because Comcast owns NBC and NBC says things they don’t like, go find an alternative that suits your sensibilities. But don’t blame Comcast for doing what they see as in the best interest of their shareholders, that’s how capitalism works.
“Comcrap just plain fails at customer service.”
The city next to us has Time Warner and they hate it, crappy service, constantly down etc so maybe Comcast will be an improvement.
we have Cox and the service ias great.
I used to have Time Warner. I thought their service was pretty bad, so I was hopeful when I heard that Comcast would be buying them out. I remember thinking to myself, "How much worse could it be?" Little did I know.
Google: Mona hammer comcast
And then there's this
