In order to do that, the affluent independent GOP controlled suburban voters had to be herded into the collectives of the cities and converted into dependent reliable democrats. Suburban living is predicated on two things: good paying jobs and cheap energy.
When you look at the policies of this regime, all of them are consistent with the goals of depriving the suburbs of the jobs and energy they need to exist.
