I would advise anyone holding CVS stock to sell. Anytime a business gets into bed with govt, it is never good for the shareholders.
Coca-Cola was a top performing stock for many years and then acted in the interest of a govt initiative instead of hat is good for shareholders, and shareholders got screwed. No different here.
Anything obozo touts is not a good thing.

Just another reason to walk across the street and shop at Walgreen’s.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.
I applaud CVS’ move. I wish every retailer would do the same.
The only reason the tobacco industry still exists is because it is a propped up crony capitalist boondoggle, hiding behind the skirts of Big Government.

Full disclosure:
- I do not smoke.
- I despise CVS and that fact goes back long before corporate CVS chose to promote ObamaCare.
- I despise Obama.
- Therefore I'm not surprised Obama would praise CVS with their PC decision to not sell tobacco products.
- It is still a relatively free market out there (at least sometimes, but massive legislation from all levels of government seem destined to correct that) and I'm rather elated the crack marketing wizards at CVS have chosen to alienate even more potential patrons.

Imagine this from ANY store: "I applaud this mornings news that CVS Caremark has decided to stop accepting EBT cards in its stores, and begin a national campaign to help millions of Americans quit taking other people's money."

Guess it’s ok with Obama because he gets his cigarettes somewhere else.
