Hearing in Florida movie theater shooting to focus on video

Good call. The defense of this Reeves character's actions are laughable. When his own wife tells him: “That was no reason to shoot someone.” After he was heard by three people as having said: “I'll teach you to throw popcorn at me.” -Reeves knew what was thrown at him. He knew his life wasnt in danger, because he provoked Oulson by leaning into his space to argue with him about his texting....Everyone knew what the “object” was.

But Nauti wants to play the same game as Reeves atty. What's the distance between Oulson's hand and Reeves face? I don't know... 12" ;inches maybe? What's the point, Nauti? What's the distance between Mrs Oulsons hand that was shot and Reeves gun?

How many people does Reeves get to endanger in a public space, because he was hit by popcorn? Humor us with answers.

And then afterwards both Mr. and Mrs. Reeves blatantly lied to the police turning a bag of white soft fluffy kernels of popcorn into some mysterious unidentified dark object [UDO].

-That's all the flimsy *evidence* the defense has at this point.

Based on several eye witnesses, we know that two people were shot, over an argument about texting, resulting in the victim tossing the shooters popcorn at him. But, Nautinurse isn't alone here in her defense of this idiot Reeves. There's a majority of people in our country who will defend cops/ex-cops/retired cops shooting anyone, for any reason. Innocent bystanders, dogs, 80 year old nursing home patients... ANYONE, who the shooting cop says he felt "threatened" by, including someone throwing popcorn after being first provoked. The wife is just *collateral damage*. She deserved to be shot too, in the badge polishers world. That's the *free* America we live in today.

I noticed that in many news stories going around they are erroneously stating as fact that a cellphone was thrown despite the fact that that claim came from only the lying Mr. Reeves long after he was heard to say “I’ll teach you to throw popcorn in my face” to which his wife responded “that’s no cause to shoot anyone”.

All 4 witnesses thus far heard him immediately afterwards say that popcorn thrown in his face was the reason he fired.
He gave no other reason until later when he began throwing spaghetti on the wall.

I challenge anyone to show on the video where a cellphone was thrown or would have been thrown especially since Oulson was holding tight to his cellphone or may have already put it away as it was his lifeline to his daughter.

We do know one thing from witness testimony — that there was a cellphone on the floor at Reeves’ feet but it belonged to Reeves himself.

BTW — three other things came out in the bond hearing:

1] Mr Reeves was sitting directly behind Mrs Oulson not Mr Oulson. Mrs Reeves was sitting directly behind Mr Oulson.

2] The row that the Reeves were in was 10 inches above the row in front of them that the Oulsons were in. Mr Reeves thus had a 7 inches height advantage over Mr Oulson.

3] Mr Reeves in his statement to the police said that the woman with the man he shot was holding him back. He acknowledges that he saw him being held back — and he seizes upon that moment when his target was being held back, when his prey was at a disadvantage, to shoot him.

The pieces of puzzle fit together pretty well:
-Retired cop feels disrespected because texter didn't respect his *authority*, so after complaining to theater management he escalated the confrontation by repeatedly badgering Oulson, and he was prepared to take it all the way to deadly force. Of course, the badge polishers will say that if only Oulson had been courteous and gone outside the theater to text, no one would have gotten shot. It was Reeves duty to shoot texting violators...and their wives. And anyone else in the vicinity.

The defense attorney has been out of control so far. I’m pretty sure that the propaganda on the Internet about an “object” (cell phone) being thrown at Reeves can be traced back to Reeves defense team. After watching the videos of witness testimony, all Reeves attorneys have done, is smear the witnesses testimony, badger and belittle them. It’s been working with the badge polishers. But I sure hope that the judge reins the defense in during the actual trial. These unwarranted attacks on the witnesses and their statements is ridiculous.

Not quite, its evidence. It must be a forensic copy of the original. This is pretty routine and the defense is only making it an issue to instil doubt in potential jurors.
