The smart money seems to think he might be hedging his bets though, and keeping his nice cozy job with the Chickasaw nation for awhile longer...

Hedge for what? If Boren has any desire at all to be a Senator then I would assume that a special election for the seat would be his best shot at it, given how Oklahoma is the reddest of red states. If he passes on this chance then it'd have to be seen as having no interest in the Senate at all.

Now that you remind me it seems that I heard something like that. Explains a lot, doesn’t it? Also Boren’s trying to get himself elected to the board of the NRA. A total poser.

President of the United States is not an entry-level job. When you say “We are the problem” you speak only for yourself. Stop blaming FR.

Don't ask me to speak for him. He hasn't announced for the seat and he does have a really sweet (incestuous) deal with the Chickasaws. True, if he wants in the Senate he's gotta try it sometime, but people wiser than me think that dog just ain't gonna hunt, at least not now.

My personal suspicion is that he might try to run for Governor against Mary Fallin. They've got to have someone. The fact that he's trying to get himself elected to the NRA board tells me he still has political ambition and is trying to (falsely) burnish his credentials as a conservative.

My main point was, many here on FR accepted many of the trash stories by Politico and other rags concerning our candidates. You have to give it to the Dems, at least they stand by their people. We accepted the Left’s narrative on our own candidates...we believed their sh*t!

I don’t know many times I read here on FR after a negative MSM story on one of our candidates: “Yep, they’re just not ready for prime time!” And yet, many FReepers bitched about Romney being our candidate! They actually helped him win the primary!

Nobody. This is OK. So unless they have some sort of secret Heitkamp candidate, whoever wins the primary will be Senator.

He’ll have about the same amount of Senate experience as Osama had when he decided to run for president. Hmmm....

Danny Boy has already said he’s staying on the tribal gravy train.

He’s trying to get re-elected to the NRA Board, he’s already served one term there.

I bailed on Cain because of his pizza-deal tax policy. Why keep an income tax? It can only punish success.

I guess our disagreement is moot since I said Shannon would change everything if he entered. What I have seen of Shannon is all good, polar opposite of the current resident. Makes J.C. Watts look downright liberal (Not that he isn’t).

Star?

Is this person a celebrity or someone running for government office?

we don’t need any more GOP “stars,” that’s for sure. i’m just trying to gather more info on him at this point.

so far the only solid info i have on him is that he was a field representative for j. c. watts. that would be a plus.
