Not Federal employees. Federal contractors.
He can’t raise taxes on his own. He can’t raise the general minimum wage on his own.
He can raise the salary floor of federal contractors. Which is all this does. The impacts to the general public will be negligable. There may be some contractos that lose their jobs, and federal employees who gave to find options for lunch other than eating at a gvt cafeteria.

This is exactly the wrong thing to do right now. We are already spending money we do not have.
America needs to build up our supply of American jobs, for Americans.
Neither party is doing one single thing, to build up America’s jobs.
Bring back American jobs.
Now.
I wonder how well this will go over with the general public watching the speech. Thankfully, I will be working late tonite and won’t be watching. But I am not amused at finding this out.
I frankly don’t believe that there are ANY Federal Contractors making minimum wage.
D.C. is so danged expensive you likely can’t hire someone who can spell “cat” or add 2+1 for ten bucks an hour.
