The libertarian party is a tiny party formed by libertarians, and kept pure, it has nothing to do with the two major parties that represent almost half the nation each.

The party of, for, and by the libertarians, hasn't changed, it is the same as it was 40 years ago, pure and honest, libertarianism.

No, I'm not the one who said that because of your political stance, you are a tyrant. You are the one, whoever, who tried to equate being against the governmennt having control over something to being in favor that activity to an extreme.

If you say libertarians can be equated to "maximum perversion" because they don't want the government preventing it, then you, sir, must be in favor of "maximum waste" with regard to your personal eating habits, because you don't want the government to prevent that either.

When I saw your first post where you said libertarians are for "maximum perversion", then indeed it was moronic of me to think that I could respond to someone engaging in mindless name-calling by trying to by trying to initiate a discussion based on reason and logic. My bad.

So thanks for your response, in which you apply the labels "moronic" and "leftist" without ever addressing the substance of what I said, since that is exactly what I needed to hear to demonstrate the folly of my previous attept, and the uselessness of going any further.

Neither in your initial comment ("maximum perversions") or in my response did the subject come up with regard to what laws should be on the books to protect children. So beyond name-calling, this is simply a false statement. While as in any group, there is a diversity of libertarian philosophies, nearly all who hold those "limited government" views, including myself, believe that having laws on the books to protect children, including those related to drug use and prostitution.

I would not abolish the age of consent
I would not open the borders
I would not abolish the institute of marriage

Nice of you to put words in my mouth, but no, you are not a dreaded tyrant. In my view, if you truly would reduce the size of the government, as you say, BY 90%, so that the what remains is 10% of what we have now, then you are in agreement with what matters MOST to MOST libertarians.

Therefore, even while many would disagree with the positions you've mentioned, since none of them are priorities for most libertarians, then I would say that you are a conservative-leaning, libertarian.

Or, to put it another way, since to me, "left" equates to favoring more government and "right" equates to favoring less, then I would also say that you are a left-leaning libertarian.

But that's okay, since you're only leaning a little left on issues that are not so important to me or to most other liberarians.
