No actually there is a sickness to be on a conservative forum berating rich people who can afford crap you can’t....and nor can i

That logic converges nicely with leftism....populist resentment....far too common here in tightwadville ... snail pace freepathons

So if you have a million spare

Do you buy a 3500 square foot home for your family or a double wide or a Jim Walter prefab

After all the cheap ones are just as utilitarian

You go on vacation with ample cash do you do Red Roof Inn or Ritz Carlton...

Ever eat steak or drink something beyond boxed wine

This is all relative....

If you were crazy rich...you might be disgusting too..lol

True.

And why disgust at $500,000 for a car? How about $450,000? Or $350,000?

It’s like setting minimum wage.

I look down on them. He and Rachel Ray are huge lefties.

Plus, he comes across as a Jersey Shore douche bag.

>> It is evidence of a soul sick person.

There’s merit to what your saying, but I wouldn’t say it’s a rule.

Some wear wealth poorly, others live it well. Some are lost in their wealth, others project elegance, aspiration, self-control, and success.

Ultimately, it’s just a veneer over a soul that might be useless, or one that is beneficial to society. But there’s no cost to society for it unless society is being deprived from the opportunity of having it.

It will be as difficult for the rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven as it is for a chef to drive his lambo through the eye of a needle.

Guy Fieri..He came off as a little bit of a jerk, a little full of himself.

Not that Robert Irvine is any great shakes (see resume lies)

I watch a lot of the cooking shows. The 2 'personalities' I can't stomach are these two.
They are best buds off camera apparently.

They need to outlaw the possession of Lamborghinis. That would have prevented the whole thing.

As usual the article's title and content reflects the current state of journalism is this country, sadly lacking and void of any measurable value as far as presenting relevant facts.

From a post found at the link (in response to article and comments):

"Judge makes statement to future juvenile delinquents in one of California's wealthiest counties. The affluencea defense won't work here, so don't even try it. This was a troubled teen who saw himself as the "party" leader attempting to make a name for himself by leading others astray with illegal ID's and parties. He fashioned himself as a big time criminal with ideas for big time scores. His storage locker also contained a full official police uniform as well a professional burglary tools. He finally got caught when he decided to stalk a high school girl who spurned his advances and shot at her and her boyfriend as they sat just talking in a truck in Mill Valley, in a drive by shooting on his motorcycle. Fortunately a dedicated effort by law enforcement, great work by the Marin Co District Attorney and a courageous judge willing to impose the maximum penalty sent a clear message. Thank You from the citizens of Marin County. Maybe this case will have a chilling effect on others bent on criminal activity in the North SF Bay Area. Don't blame this judge for other judges giving light sentences. WE NEED MORE JUDGES LIKE THIS WHO ARE WILLING TO SEND A MESSAGE.Gangs Next?"

Bumping your entire post, wardaddy. Envy is never attractive.

I would say one more thing. After actually reading the link, it sounds to me like CA’s Three Strikes law is still in effect.

BTW, if I were stinking rich, I would buy the best of everything, too. I would hope to help our stupid economy.

His premise is wrong. I didn’t say what I said out of envy.
