Interesting. According to mob lore everyone involved was murdered by mastermind Jimmy Burke who himself died in prison after Henry Hill turned snitch and got him convicted.

Ah, isn't there a "Statute of Limitations" in effect in NY State for this crime?Probably so if it were just a robbery. However, with murder involved in its cover-up, I am guessing that nullifies the statute of limitations on all aspects of the robbery as the murder and the robbery can be definitely linked and there is no statute of limitations on murder.

They suspect one of the guys arrested was involved in the heist, but they are not arresting him for that crime. They arrested him for an unrelated murder, after they found the body of the victim in Jimmy Burke’s basement (”Jimmy Conway” from Goodfellas).
