This has been a thriving internet cottage industry for years. It sounds like it is going corporate now, but it is nothing new. Conscientious profs are well aware of the websites and how they work.

These are more common in online schools and “easy” degrees(see UNC football players).
Real professors have search engines to check for these types of things. They also require things like rough drafts, outlines, etc before the actual paper.

I teach at a major university. Blue books still exist and are excellent for spotting people who don’t do their own work. Additionally, term papers have to be made so specific that the person writing the paper has to be taking the course. Generic, open ended term papers are a thing of the past in my courses.
