I’ve set my expectations much lower after these past two elections. But we shall see as things begin to formulate ahead. All they have to do to the truth is mix it with falsehood to deceive voters...and they are pros at doing just that.

I have lived, Sir, a long time and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth -- that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid? We have been assured, Sir, in the sacred writings that "except the Lord build they labor in vain that build it." I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without his concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better than the Builders of Babel.

" Sure they voteonce the ticket has been presented to them. But how many of them have anything to do with nominating the candidates or writing the platforms? How many will actually take time out to work at itor even to write their Congressmen? All too often in our history the vote has been simply a matter of choosing between two well-oiled machines. A sufficiently clever and determined group can take over a party, keep the name and the slogans and in a few years do a complete behind-the-scenes volte-face."
"It's still in process of happening, that's all. The lines today are drawn not by nations or parties, but byphilosophies, if you wish. Two views of man's destiny, cutting across all national, political, racial and religious lines."
"You might call them libertarian and totalitarian, though the latter don't necessarily think of themselves as such. The peak of rampant individualism was reached in the nineteenth century, legally speaking. Though in point of fact social pressure and custom were more strait-jacketing than most people today realize."
"In the twentieth century that social rigidityin manners, morals, habits of thoughtbroke down. The emancipation of women, for instance, or the easy divorce or the laws about privacy. But at the same time legal control began tightening up again. Government took over more and more functions, taxes got steeper, the individual's life got more and more bound by regulations saying 'thou shalt' and 'thou shalt not."

...”By the time apathy turns into anger it could be too late”....
I think that is why many don’t vote any longer...they do think it’s too late. Others are burned out carrying the torch without anyone in the crowd willing to take it up.
I still think Cruz has it all to be able to take on what the next President will be faced with overcoming. And I think he could, and does, have enough good men in the wings he would take with him to accomplish that.
Remember he did say that the American people do not realize how close we are to outing the bad guys. I think there’s enough truth in his statement to truly hope. How they ultimately pull it off will likely surprise more than a few.
I do think whatever they are planning is being kept close to the chest, and has to be.

"The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men."

My response.... Well that is what we have now.....but we are no longer ‘a nation’ working for or guarding our freedoms as before. We have too many foreigners in political offcie, or with vast revenues, or both, whose desire is to completely change our nation into something else, and they are powerful and hungry to attain just that. That is what we are witnessing today.
They have infiltrated as well as been “invited” to participate in governing and therefore once they've attained an office of power they push 'their own agenda' which is not American but something else entirely... .... That is what we are contending with. The game has completely changed but many are still operating under the “old rules” because they've been blindsided and don't even know it!

To the kindly influence of Christianity we owe that degree of civil freedom, and political and social happiness which mankind now enjoys
whenever the pillars of Christianity shall be over thrown, our present republican forms of government, and all blessings which flow form them must fall with them

Madison's Notes for the Bill of Rights
Madison used this outline to guide him in delivering his speech introducing the Bill of Rights into the First Congress on June 8, 1789. Madison proposed an amendment to assuage the anxieties of those who feared that religious freedom would be endangered by the unamended Constitution. According to The Congressional Register Madison, on June 8, moved that "the civil rights of none shall be abridged on account of religious belief or worship, nor shall any national religion be established, nor shall the full and equal rights of conscience be in any manner, or on any pretext infringed."
