“Los Angeles is a city in decline, strangled by traffic, weighed down by poverty”
These are the benefits of five decades of massive third world immigration, legal as well as illegal. And it’s not confined to the LA city limits.
Don’t move to LA unless you have, or can make, a whole ton of money here. There are still nice pockets of LA, but you have to be quite well-off to afford them. The rest of LA is pretty much Tijuana Hell.
Democrats and RINOs.
“Yes...Bushs fault dontya know!”
Don’t kid yourself. Bush’s unwillingness to deport illegals did a lot of damage to LA. To California as a whole. And the millions that he refused to boot out will be given amnesty by Obama.
Film industry made LA what it is. I wonder what will happen if they moved out totally. I hear there’s oil underneath the land.
If not for Silicon Valley and Hollywood, California would be in deep doodoo right now.
I’ve been here long enough to remember when LA was still part of America. I think you have, too, Nea.
Terry Anderson was our Paul Revere, and it’s a tragedy that he isn’t still here.
Exactly. And spend more money and raise taxes to pay for it. These declining cities are like alcoholics. They try everything to stop the problem except the one glaring thing that will work -- cut spending, cut taxes, cut back government, cut regulations and put a lot of government workers out of work.
Can't be, I just heard that massive immigration is the answer to fixing both America and it's cities.
So true, Pelham. Terry was a real patriot. I don’t think I ever heard that good man say anything I disagreed with. I miss him.
“...Hell...we were just thinking about moving to LA...”
From Detroit? Not an irrational idea.
From any civilized area of the country? No way.
And remember, the “big one” is scheduled...just doesn’t have a “due by” date yet.
“A city in decline”?.............
Not to worry, I just read that odumbo is sending them 500 million.
