“the Japanese own the US nuclear reactor companies.”
And you can document this?
To: justa-hairyape
The worse case scenario occurred in Fukushima. Three reactor melt outs that were vented the whole time they were melting out. And they continue to vent to this day. Tokyo should have been under voluntary evacuation, but there was no place to put all those people. Fukushima Prefecture has signed an agreement with their major state run hospital to keep secret any illnesses related to radiation. I believe you're right...
For many years the Japanese didn't call their cancer wards 'cancer wards' because they thought it would be upsetting. The places they do denial are different than the places we do denial. But even there you might be right. Hillary could choose not to see problems that will be happening in California... Thanks for sharing.

>> Nuclear power was gonna save the world from global warming. Nonsense. The man-made global warming crowd has always also been anti-nuclear. Some pro-nuclear people have tried to pitch nukes to the MMGW crowd, with no discernable success. Furthermore, the use of nuclear power for generating electricity dates to the 1950s; the Fukushima station was commissioned in 1971. NOBODY was talking about global warming, then. If anything, the were blabbing about global cooling.

I think radiation has been hitting the west coast if I’m not mistaken.

I had heard radiation had hit the west coast, and haven’t confirmed. If it has, I don’t know the concentrations or ramifications, but it can’t be too good.
I do remember in 86 that in the Fraser Valley, BC, cows had pink milk for a week.

My daughter works in the industry; so I know it’s incorrect information!

Good for your daughter. It’s an excellent industry. I hope she goes far.

They bought the GE nuclear division. The company that designed and built Fukushma #1. Not all US nuclear reactor builders, just the ones that continued to build under the Japanese umbrella. We went many years building no reactors here.

From what I understand, the initial nuclear power will stop global warming canard was started by Margaret Thatcher. She used the canard in a labor disputer with cool miners. Unfortunately, some shady characters took the canard too far.
Hansen started the Global Warming meme during Reagans Presidency.

What really concerns me is that the EPA has been shutting off the radiation monitors in the US this week - there were 99 gamma radiation monitors a week ago, and tonight there were 79 active. You know they're doing it again... do you feel the numbers are up again? That's it's a cover up?
