Our world is in constant rebellion again the God of the Bible. I remember as a kid when one of the Marx brothers (Groucho, I think) said that the easiest way to get ahead in TV was to break as many of the 10 Commandments as possible on your TV show. Not much has changed. The Left, Progressives whatever you want to call them, never change. They hate God and have turned from him to the next biggest, baddest thing (which in their minds is government) to shape their world the way they want it. And make no mistake... they want exactly the opposite of what God wants. The post about Men’s Rules, while somewhat funny has its own offensive baggage - and keeps the war going.

Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” Now out of the ground the Lord God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— for we are members of his body. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.

The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

“You shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness while she is in her menstrual uncleanness. And you shall not lie sexually with your neighbor’s wife and so make yourself unclean with her. You shall not give any of your children to offer them to Molech, and so profane the name of your God: I am the Lord. You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. And you shall not lie with any animal and so make yourself unclean with it, neither shall any woman give herself to an animal to lie with it: it is perversion.

Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”

Many will say, “But what if my husband/wife doesn’t agree with these verses even if I do. What do I do then?” The answer isn’t easy, there is a price to be paid for obeying God and denying yourself (the living sacrifice that he has called all his children to be). It goes something like this: “Do you want immediate relief or do you want to know God better?” Most want relief and the self-life and can never believe that a relationship with the Lord could be better than they could ever imagine (and worth the immediate pain). So they seek to manipulate their partner into getting their way, seek revenge, move on to someone else or remain in an unfulfilling, frustrating, dead relationship. The world is a mess because of the evil introduced at the Fall in the Garden. God’s guidance is for this in between time (before his Kingdom is established). It’s the best for right now and will produce his peace in your relationships and life if you are related to him through Christ and seek to let his Spirit have his way in your life. It is not ultimate fulfillment - that is coming - but not here yet.
