Could this be a negotiation chip in the current talks?
Could it be designed to express Israel's independence from America's misguided policies? And might it flush Obama's Muslim sympathies out of the weeds and into the open?
Moreover, might it be designed to force Arab countries to choose sides -- in hat might be a totally unexpected pattern? The act will certainly raise Iran's hackles. But are there any Arab countries in the neighborhood who will pay more than lip service to the Palestinians.
It strikes me that, under the current circumstances, the environment strongly favors an aggressive Israeli policy toward Palestine.
Praise the Lord! What will be the status of the rest of Judea and Samaria? Any chance they may annex all of it?
Give it time. This whole self-assertion thing is new to Israeli dealings with the US. Long overdue, but still new.
