Tie me up, so the police will not suspect me...
Sounds like a TV action show plot.

Sounds like it worked out well for them.

They came out, still tied up, thinking that we were going to believe they were victims also, Eisenman said. Thats what you call felony stupid. I'm speechless

Tie me up, so the police will not suspect me... Probably 'Tie me up so I don't come back to Get You!'.

Some folks are just too dumb to even be criminals. These guys fit the bill.

I bet they were. Lots of criminals drink or use drugs in advance of a “job.”

My point being that LEOs should be capable of determining whether a weapon is loaded or not.

It being californistan, I’m surprised the tied up criminals didn’t hear an ominous, “It sexy tyme now!” immediately after.

Yes They are stupid, but stupid people can kill you.
I agree with #10, One would think the Police were qualified to check the weapons for ammunition.

The surveillance system operator (vic) should end up with the guns.

“Let me guess, the “suspects” were melanin-enriched individuals, right?”
From the comments section at the link. I bet this guy will have his posting rights revoked by the LA Times.

The suspects obviously knew the gig was up. Many times in their reasoning they attempt to minimize their criminal severity by attempting to get rid of evidence such as guns/ammo...
In other words they could have flushed the ammo before hand thinking they'd face lesser charges and the cops just did not know if the weapons were loaded at the time.
