Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant political theater, right out of the Alinsky playbook - mock your opponent with humor. It’s the one weapon that your opponent can’t defend against.
I would advise anyone reading this to pass along the word to friends and family... and to buy a duck call. This is a brilliant strategy.
The gays will be enraged and call this “harassment,” though. So maybe do it in a crowd, and quickly hide the call. Hee hee hee.
The other cool part of this idea is that the people who are being targeted will make a ton of cash from those buying duck calls.
I looked up the calls to buy one. All the ones that I can afford are “out of stock.” The Robertsons are gonna make more money off their duck calls because of the A&E hissy fit than the show is worth to A&E. If this were another sort of folks I would assume it all to be a marketing ploy. In this case even if it is a marketing ploy it serves to rally the right troops and gives us all a sense of our potential.

Probably not. I think everyone is sold out of the less than stratospherically priced models. There has been some unexplainable rush on them. Fads, you know. I normally don't respond to these manias at all but Dammit! I want a Duck Commander!

You're right but also because they are filthy rich already. With all the merchandising they've easily made $100 million since the show started and that in addition to existing business they had with "Duck Commander". Good for them they are financially able to tell A&E to buzz off. And I think that may happen. Phil is a proud man, a Godly man and he could easily say "forget it, I'm gonna go hunt and fish and leave this behind. Don't need it." What could prevent that is the feeling that he would be giving up to Satan to just walk away and let them win. To get what they want. DD was/is a big influence on kids, they love the show. A good influence.
How does Duck compare to Swamp People? Is it worth watching?
I haven’t watched Swamp People so I cannot compare them.
Make sure it is the "Duck Commander" which is the family's co. and not the "Duck Dynasty" TM. A&E gets a portion of the profits as it is their trademark.
