Headline: New York Times.
Einstein has IQ of four year old,
went to school with George Bush,
did his homework for him.
I don’t know if they measured his Circus IQ or not ... :-) ...
Einstein was definitely not an atheist.
Almost all Jews are somewhat adrift in this present time, without a temple, none of the traditional worship is even possible. That will soon change.
Don’t fret, I tested 150 in the fifth grade but through
the careful application of medications I now have it
down to a reasonable 67.
Having a high IQ as a child is like having a powerful V-8 under the hood. Without fuel, it goes nowhere at any speed. Without maintenance, it breaks down. Without direction, the vehicle it powers soon crashes.
I just wish my IQ was as high as my cholesterol level ;-)
Two bada-bings on one thread!
IQ tests don’t work that way, they measure standard deviation from the mean. The amount “smarter” would depend on the size of the standard deviation.
Basically, amount smarter he would be compare to average is the same magnitude as between an average person and a person with an IQ of 40.
> I once heard that Einstein had an estimated IQ of about 190. Now I dont know what to think.
I think you have Einstein confused with Tesla, who did have a 190 IQ.
As soon as I found out that I qualified for MENSA,I lost all respect for MENSA.
There is a “999” club, taking only the top 0.1% on the scale (whatever it is).
They must limit themselves to words of no more than four syllables when explaining concepts to the typical Mensa member. But they must watch themselves, as it is so easy to slip over into badgering and teasing.
Whoever said/believed/bought a 4 year old boy/girl has a 160 I.Q...
IS NOT VERY SMART..
So what’s the way an average IQ is arrived at today? It used to be 100 plus your age.
You might want to do a little “reading up” on it ... :-) ...
Intelligence quotient
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intelligence_quotient
That would be a general starting point and you could go to other sources from there.
It means that, according to someone, the kid kind of appears to have about six and a half years. I was reading at four, most people start reading at six. Not kind of a big deal.
I don’t even know my own IQ ... :-) ...
Perhaps someone else will know the answer to your question. Let’s see ...
I had an IQ of 160, then I joined the air force and started drinking.
sigh
Well ... I did hear, somewhere, that drinking kills brain cells ... :-) ...
Sorry, don’t buy it.
We really have no accurate way to measure intelligence.
If this kid grows up and accomplishes 1/10 of what Einstein did, then he will be very great.
