I thank God everyday that when I turned 52 I was diagnosed with AVN, had hip reconstruction then had a bad knee done too. They would have let me die with ACA Obamacare! Thank you for your service to all of us. There are many patients who are grateful!

Theres going to be an open revolt in this country.
Don’t think so. There are too many people comfortable in their own world, willing to go along to get along.
There has been an intense assault on liberties for the last 5 years that should have awakened the masses but unfortunately crickets are all we hear.

I’ve been wondering when someone would bring this up. It’s always appeared to be the logical end for dissenting doctors. They will draft them, just like the military.

enterprising Americans are much smarter than obama’s regime and they will figure out a way not to be forced into servitude
I predict that within 10 years most of the “doctors” treating obamacare patients will be from the 3rd world...and our best doctors may be working in elite private clinics and hospitals incorporated abroad, perhaps even in China

"On the other hand, there are probably going to be some very nice sunny islands that have a very high doctor-patient ratio." Or how about off-shore hospital-cruise-ships, sort of like the casinos use?

I'm not aware of any demonization of doctors (except by med-mal attorneys and their clients, and those who resent high earners, of course), they are still among the most respected of professions, at least by me. Still, they should have spoken up when they saw what was coming. I realize the AMA does not speak for most doctors, that was my point. Most Americans are not aware of that, though. The AMA endorsed (or at least did not oppose in any way) the ACA so a lot of Americans assumed that their personal physician was for it.
It isn't too late. Doctors could still make a huge difference in killing this monster. But they have to be heard.

Older, wiser physicians may be financially able to retire, but the younger doctors who have not paid for their homes, have to send children to college, have been locked in by numerous debts financially cannot afford to not get a paycheck. So physicians, as a whole, cannot be expected to walk away from their jobs, just like any other profession. I am one who got out a few years ago. Here in my hometown of about 35,000 2 orthopedist, 1 ObGyn, 3 general surgeons, and numerous GP's are exiting. It will impose a hardship on themselves and patients in town. Believe me, we are getting out as soon as possible. I do look for the government to bring in physicians from India, Pakistan. Look for them to try to flood the country with foreign doctors.
This ACA will bring more mystery on the Amerians than war. People are already being programmed to think, like a a veterinarian or a NAZI to come to believe that "they will be doing a family member a favor" by consenting to destroy them. Obama himself, has said, "Rather than allowing Grandma to go through an operation, just give her a pill and send her home to die." It is happening now, and the American people are taking a dose of that moral relativism, day, by day, by day.

One country in Europe (Luxembourg?) actually drafted doctors into the army when they rebelled. That’s another option that might happen here.

You could move to my small hometown and have 100% Indian Md’s (2).

I am thankful I had my heart problem in 2008 BO (before owe-bamacare), and BCBS bought me this nice $70m pacemaker/defibrillator.
Unfortunately, it is only good for about another five years. Wonder if owe-bamacare will buy me a new one?
