More than likely. Sounds like some Admins are covering their arses. Chances of this ex prof doing time are slim and none. This could be all for show to the NCAA to disprove to them “lack of institutional control”...
Back in the 90s there was a professor at Baylor named Packard. He taught a class that everyone referred to as “Packard’s Football Physics”. Every football player took the class.
How many football players does it take to screw in a light bulb?
Answer: just one, but he gets 4 hours of credit for it!
(And my apologies to those ball-players who actually worked at their studies, even while putting in incredible hours on the practice field)
I taught classes at USM in Hattiesburg. My very first class, I fouled up and made the grades too easy to attain. Everyone got an A. Now if I had fouled up and given everyone a D or F I would simply have told them I messed up and given them better grades. You can’t just go up to a kid who got an A and tell him I made a mistake and I want to give you a C even tho it was my mistake.
Anyway the next class I had a lot of football players take the course. This time a lot still made A’s but lots made Cs too.
I did warn them that I had messed up the first class and had to let all those A’s stand.
For some bizarre reason, I recall an episode of ‘’The Andy Griffith Show’’ in which Sheriff Taylor spoke of his hopes of Opie one day attending college in Chapel Hill. Seemed so right then. Actually, Andy Griffith is probably one of the five or ten greatest actors ever because the real Andy Griffith was 180 degrees from the kind, courtly, and patriotic Sheriff Taylor.
This is why he is getting convicted, he neglected to use his power to brainwash influencial football players into the need for communism in order to attack white adequacy
