Democratic lawmakers would worry about provoking the wrath of a president who could be reelected. Thanks to term limits, though, theyve got little to fear, Zimmerman wrote, adding that a term-limited president does not have to fear the voters, which might be the scariest problem of all. Kinda like Caesar.

most of the amendments were progressive bs anyway. repeal all of them. see what happens to the progressive/socialists movement. we don’t need the first ten either because as a human being the rights in the bill are granted by god and as a government of the people cannot be abridged. Slavery was not required by the constitution and no amendment was needed to eliminated it. act of congress would have been sufficient.

FDR died at 63 and looked a decade or two older. Getting to serve as many terms as you can win: Not as much fun as it sounds.

“Reward our friends, punish our enemies”. Sorry bad idea. Term limits reduce the amount of damage an ideologue can do

I know this it what they want...liberals have been talking about changing the term limit since he was elected the first time, now it is going to go mainstream. I notice the libs were not mentioning this when we had President Bush. If I remember correctly, it was President Reagan that quashed it when he was President, he was not interested in it being changed for him.

Most of the "viral" thing was just talking heads trying to get something to talk about and sound smart about. Sort of like people here talking about repealing the 16th or 17th amendment. So far interest is theoretical and pedagogical more than anything else.
Repeal gets proposed in Congress every year or every other year -- 21 times in the last 20 years is one statistic floating around. Both Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell have proposed repeal at one time or another. Efforts went nowhere. I don't expect them to get any further this time, but if they do, it's possible that Obama would be excluded (as Truman was by the original amendment).

Not only do a I disagree with giving Obama a 3rd term, I wish for him great discomfort for the remainder of his 2nd term, at least as much as this squirrel:
