Well, if I’m a chimpiggy then I guess homosexuality is genetic.
Well, don’t tell the Muslims! sarc/off
I was under the impression that humans are genetically closer to the bonobo monkey than to the chimpanzee...
Thanks!
We’re closer to rice I think, than we are to either chimp. :’)
Thanks, this guy’s blog, “Macroevolution”, isn’t half as interesting as the “Mackerel Evolution” blog, where it’s believed that our ancestors were a fish-seamonkey cross.
That’s swine with me. ;’)
Great, now I’m hungry for some natural casing sausage...
And for dessert, lady fingers.
Great minds run in the same gutter — that book came immediately to mind here as well. The author cites a list of odd characteristics found in humans but not in any other (living) primates, some of which are actually true. :’)

Yeah, that would wreck their whole cannibalism thing.
LOL!
It’s hilarious that the author of the theory suggests that the pig was the aggressor.

Jeepers... thanks for the ping!
Someone tell the koranimal, the pig was most reluctant...and tried to run away:
Gimme a break. I got one guy telling me it IS science, and now you telling me it is not.
A hypothesis is just that. It may be a precursor to more research, or it may not. I’m not saying I agree with him, but he did just state a hypothesis, and folks are getting all worked up like it’s peer-reviewed science. It’s not.
That’s sort of the point.
Dr Eugene McCarthy of the University of Georgia, may have evolved from an interesting amalgamation of a chimp and a pig (a Chig? a Pimp? or perhaps a Chog?), but we normal beings come from our forebears, and are content to permit Dr McCarthy to entertain us with speculations about his more colorful ancestors.
Sorry.
