Finally back from the store. Traffic was very slow because the road to the city wasn’t salted or plowed.
But the city was plowed, at least. Lots of plows were driving around the whole time we were there.

We got all our Thanksgiving shopping done, and we’re all ready to cook on Thursday. We’re having the
usual menu, stuffed turkey, cranberry sauce, yams (no marshmallows), pearl onions in cheese sauce,
French-cut green beans with slivered almonds, apple pie, and pumpkin pie.

I can actually cook all that stuff, and all of it is low-carb.

I will not have to cook for a week after all that, just reheat the leftovers. Thanksgiving leftovers is
Bryan’s favorite breakfast during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.

About the only time we have turkey is when my fishing buddy from Lafayette comes down, he can't make it this year.
He's a turkey fiend.
Mrs. Cajun and I are not that *high* on turkey, with us it's usually roast or ham.

I like turkey. It’s traditional on Thanksgiving but I’m not crazy about it. However, when I was a kid my grandparents ground up leftovers and made patties. I cannot for the life of me duplicate them. And I LOVED them fried in a pan!
