No they won’t. The Repukelicans are too gutless to use it to its benefit; I would expect that they will change it back if they ever get the majority in the Senate again.
how so?? unless you are speaking to the fact that everybody dies at some point. this level of corruption in DC will not just go away or get voted out.

Clearly the Democrats and their backers are doing everything possible to seize power over the United States permanently. I don’t buy the notion that Obama wants to be president for life, I think he’s just a puppet. Watch him, it’s obvious he can’t wait to tee-off on a big golf course somewhere in Hawaii in early 2017 without all these distractions.
Another reason senators should be appointed by state legislatures.

But ... we have been seeing tyranny for years. The underhanded manner in which 0bamacare was passed is tyranny. The complete ignoring of Constitutional limits on government power is tyranny. The use of government largesse (AKA stolen money) to buy votes is tyranny. Regulatory taking of property is tyranny.

I'm thinking Dingy Harry will "cave to the pressure" and change the rule back in the lame duck period of the Dems lose in 2014, '16 or as long as he is emitting green house gas on this earth.

Perhaps this is the REAL reason the Senate has invoked the nuclear option NOW.. Because they are afraid the House ‘Repeal of Obamacare Bill’ might actually PASS in the Senate if Republican votes are counted.
Also, there's talk that the so-called “nuclear option” is only in place so long as the Donkeys hold the Senate. If they lose control in 2014, Senate rules reset and the old filibuster rules of 60 votes for cloture make a come back.

One thing that occurs to me is those three “winnable” Senate seats we lost in 2012 are looming pretty large right now. We threw away two perfectly winnable seats (MO and IN) by candidates saying stupid things and being stupid enough to fall into the ‘Rat traps, and the one seat in MT that the lousy Libertarian handed to the ‘Rats. Those three votes (assuming the ‘Rats who voted with us this time did so again) would have been enough to block Reid’s coup. Like everyone here is fond of saying, elections have consequences, and those three seats that were tossed away (well, really two, and one spited away) have pretty big consequences right about now.
Just as with the Obamacare exemptions, we are seeing the Stalinist "Animal Farm" Orwell wrote lived large.
We've been downgraded to a simple democracy.
Mob rule is now the norm.
