Au contraire, the impact will be huge. Some estimates are as high as an additional 80 million people will lose employer-based coverage. That equals one-third of the bar on MSNBC's chart that is labeled "unaffected."
So is MSNBC doing this deliberately, or are they just stupid?
I actually hope they are stupid about it, because then it means that the Obamacare becomes the gift that keeps on giving. I want them dumbfounded again when small businesses start terminating plans.
Also not mentioned is the rate increases of those in the “unaffected” bar!
Some of those people will probably look at other options (Medicaid, etc...) instead of continuing to pay the employer-provided insurance!
So, these people WILL be affected! Trust me - we ALREADY are being affected!
I’m in that “unaffected” bar and already paying much more, directly because of obamacare.
Joe an Willie, If you like your chart, you can keep your chart.....put it where the sun don’t shine.
mslsd... the poster for failure in America.
We have a large one-year jump in our retiree group healthcare premium coming up next year. Plus let us not forget that Obamacare raises the medical deduction threshold from 7.5% AGI to 10% on 2013 income tax returns. That’s not a 2.5% increase, it’s 33%. Heads need to roll on this cluster!
If only a “tiny number” of folks will be negatively impacted by the deficiencies inherent in the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010”, why even concern ourselves with the MUCH tinier number of persons who would actually “benefit” in some way with the concept of homosexual marriage?
Not all the people demanding “equality” in the name of homosexual marriage are going to get in on the deal themselves, they just want to be “fair”. But is knocking some three to five million off a medical insurance plan they were satisfied with, only to discover there are and can never be any affordable alternatives that provide even some semblance of the coverage they once had, any kind of “equality”?
It sure is not fair.
Translation:
“unaffected” = “massive rate increases”
Well ~ 6 million canceled so far and Obama delayed the employer mandate and no one brought that up. He doesnt know how many will get worthwhile subsidies either, just makes believe he does.
Actually Morning Joe has been torching obamacare the past few weeks, Mika too.
Well, good job then, run on Obamacare in the next election.
Joey is nothing more than a MSNBC LIAR.
My experience is my group plan will go up $650 next year and assuming the group plan is still viable in 2015 another $1,800 that year.
These Democrat shills can go .... themselves.
Okay. Using the logic that:
“What’s the big deal? It isn’t affecting THAT many folks.”
Why should I care about what happened to TRAYVON MARTIN? How many black teenagers are shot dead like this of of the population of 310 million fols?
Why should I care about GAY Marriage?
How many homosexuals are getting married out of a population of 310 million folks?
MSNBC drones on and on about these topics. Why do they care? Why should I care?
My company’s Blue Cross/Blue Shield plan renewal effective 01/01/2014 2014 has already been CANCELLED due to Obamacare. However, we just renewed for a full year effective 12/01/2013, under a different, non-Obamacare plan, so we at least have 11 more more of relative freedom.
There are things that are mandated by Obamacare. They are mandated for every type of insurance.
They will be mandated for group policies and Government policies and every policy.
The fact the way I see it is that everyone who now has insurance will be effected. Millions.
Rush made an interesting comment on his show today regarding MSNBC. He said that while their ratings have always been low, since he made a decision some time ago to quit mentioning their inanities on his show their ratings have plunged even further.
His point was why give idiots like that the spotlight by mentioning them on his show where millions listen. Leave them alone inside their own tiny echo chamber.
There seems to be a certain logic to his position. Ignoring them is probably the greatest insult you could pay them, especially considering how pompous they usually are.
Poor Willie. Working for a guy so closely aligned with the murder of a young woman. Poor Lori!
