Switzerland's Proposed New Law To Link Executives' Pay With Their Lowest Paid Workers Could Lead To A Banking Exodus
Time to pick up and move to the Cayman Islands.
Excellent! Great move for free countries to pick off some great Swiss corporate world headquarters!
There should be some sort of criteria for high pay execs just like I had when I was Corporate Director of Engineering for a world wide firm.
All engineers, myself included, were expected to produce 10X our yearly salary in savings, waste reduction, increased production, safety...
I see no reason other execs should not be subjected to something similar where they have to show what ideas they implemented to increase the bottom line rather than just the stock price which reflects the efforts of ALL the employees.
Under that scenario why should any of the green with jealousy socialists object to someone making $10 million if they could prove they increased the bottom line by $100 million? It would be a win win for all involved.
Commissioned sales are another example of reward for success. Yes there are the occasional pure damned luck for a big sale but by an large a great salesman is well worth a reasonable commission.
Right now however it is the good old boy’s club.
