‘Abe Vigoda’ man?
Don’t they use carbon dating on these finds, to prevent another “Piltdown Man”? If the skull and mandible are different ages, you’ve got a problem.
I dont see them digging up Noah's Ark and explaining how all the Kinds fit in it.
That would be no fun.
“Could today’s scientists be subject to the same eagerness to prove evolution, leading to skewed analyses?” Impossible! We all know the absolutely objective stance of today’s scientists is above reproach. Just look, for example, at the science of global warming for a stellar case in point. (sarc. on full bore)
There’s something wrong with the phrase “new fossil” :)
Not one bit surprising.
Looks like the real deal to me!
Easy; they were babies, young and not every species that exists today
One of the most outrageous composite bone piles is the so-called “Lucy”.
I loved the Book Lucy in the 1980s, very well written and it gives the history of major finds, including the hoaxes.
First I learned of most of those events in such detail.
“Easy; they were babies, young and not every species that exists today”
You mean that some of today’s species that weren’t on the ark evolved from those that were?
What is called “micro-evolution”...
One species evolving into another isn’t micro-evolution. Speciation, the creation of new species, is anything but micro-evolution.
Wrong term, sorry
Often confused with 'Ron Perlman' man:
I am still rooting for “Nebraska Man”.
What term did you mean to use?
I would argue that speciation is ONLY micro-evolution, especially since "Species hypothesized to have the same ancestors are placed in one genus, based on similarities." (Wikipedia). Macro-evolution is the "Origin of Genus". Darwin's finches are easily explained by just such micro-evolution, and the parent finches who had beaks that could get to certain tyoe food had babies that maintained that characteristic. After a few generations, they look different from their cross islnad brethren. Get them to breed, though, and they will look like something in between the two.
It’s John Kerry!
