Thanks thouworm.
“Man, that American sure is a punk, da?”
“Oy! You’re telling me nothing!”
Imagine Russian and Israeli strikes on the Iranian mullahs and their nuclear sites. Barry would get is dander up over this. He might have John Kerry deliver a personal note of disapproval to Bibi and UN Ambassador Rice might lead a joint condemnation of Russia and Israel. Boo hoo, boo hoo.
Israel needs to develop closer ties with Russia, India and China. What choice does Bibi have with terrorists in control of the White House?
Two serious men in that photo, one a commando, one a former KGB officer. And at the same time, ours was a bath house homo in Chicago, smoking pot, studying communism and community organizing.

Netanyahu fought in war in service to his nation. Putin never fought in any war, he loyally served the communist secret police which oppressed and brutalized his own people.
One thing also to keep in mind is the many Russian emigres who have moved to Israel...They tend to be much more to the right, and in general, they do admire Putin. And their role in Israeli politics is growing by the day.
Yes, but don’t forget, Zero self-described as being very good at killing people.

I went with ‘punk’ because I don’t know the Hebrew for ‘douchebag’.

I was thinking much the same. That is a very good photo.
Two smart men, both have my respect. I don’t delude myself about Putin, but I do respect him. Obama? ... Not so much. :-(

This is the essence of Realpolitik, strong men discussing politics or diplomacy based primarily on power and on
practical and material factors and considerations, rather than ideological notions.
