So it seems that the people want somebody else to pay for it. Great.
new results off gazette.com:
Amendment 66 (Education Tax)
Yes: 229,290
No: 448,139
Proposition AA (Marijuana Tax)
Yes: 433,751
No: 237,704
At least one tax failed. Woohoo!
I don’t understand why people are voting for the pot tax. A tax is a tax. The gov’t will just waste more $$$
Thanks for the post, ican’tbelieviet.
Good news on 66
“they” say that it will be used for education. I went against it because I do not want teachers having a stake in increased dope sales. However, I understand why if one is anti drugs it would sound like a good idea.
It’s just going to drive the pot heads back to their dealers.
Down and out . . .
The Associated Press is declaring lost Amendment 66, the proposal to raise income taxes statewide to generate $950 million for schools. It trailed early and often as results came in, losing with 66 percent opposed.
“I dont understand why people are voting for the pot tax. A tax is a tax. The govt will just waste more $$$”
Because they are idiots, the cartels can now undercut the State regulated prices = little tax revenue. The Dopers will go for the high grade cheap stuff ALWAYS.

Where can we see the results of the counties voting on secession?
I think there will be a lot of little pot farms. Someone sells their buddy an ounce at cost or a little over. State gets zip.
I think it is payback. MJ was made legal in CO with the sell that if we legalize it, we can tax it, etc... well, the taxman comes calling.
“I dont understand why people are voting for the pot tax”
True, but I think maybe it is because pot is becoming legal to buy in January and they think pot will be untaxed.
I agree. It is frustrating for me to see people vote for a tax.
Who wants somebody else to pay for what?

I want to change those tables... will have a better view in a bit.
I had a neighbor who grew his own on his 2nd floor patio. He said he didn't trust what was sold on the street.
