I worked for 40 months in the sand box. Now and then I'd run across a spec ops. unit, sporting a patch unique to their team / unit / platoon / etc. One of the best that I remember was rather common; a fun meter patch with the needle pegged. What a sense of humor. An image search brings up lots more unique patches. Not in the same league as the topic, but the strengthening of esprit de corps (a pinch) just the same.
