When you have a hammer in you hand everything looks like a nail.

Cadillac that runs on Thorium - refuel once every 30 years. Plug it into your house and it powers that too.

WTF!

“If you have a Thorium ping list add me please!”

Sorry — I don’t have one. I just looked at others who have been posting related threads and pinged a few.

I don’t think there is a thorium ping list - the best I can suggest is for those who post on the subject to make sure and put that as a key words so people can find related threads.

Me: “No observable energy generated.”

You: Wrong, of course.

I was referencing the subject studies which produced no observable energy.

” Yours is the typical knee-jerk response of those who have not bothered to read the actual published work on the experiments. “

I have read the published works and watched the videos. I would rate their experiments an “F”.

“Sufficient validated data is available for the Pd/D2 system to show that the major pathway yields He4”

Based on your chemistry and nuclear background, please diagram the ‘major pathway’. Thank you.

“Many experiments have shown positive energy levels, some quite high. “

Are you referring to the experiments by Rossi who has a history of scam and fraud and spent four years in prison?

"Signed, Senior Nuclear Test Engineer"

I seriously doubt that. But just on the off chance that you might be slightly different from the rest of the skeptopaths that hang around here, which ones??

Signed....PhD Chemist, Nuclear Science Minor. 26 patents, 2 R&D 100 awards.

Sure.....2H2 + Quantum effects ---> He4 + ~24 MEV.

See McKubre for the experimental data.

No. Try Edmund Storms, McKubre, Miley, Pons & Fleischmann, and a host of others. This is NOT "all about Rossi", despite the constant efforts of a few to make it so.

“No. Try Edmund Storms, McKubre, Miley, Pons & Fleischmann, and a host of others. “

To date NO experiments have been able to replicate excess energy claimed by Pons & Fleishmann.

I would have expected such from a 9th grader, not a PhD ...

How did McKubre manage to kill one of his associates?

Socialists want energy scarcity. Scarcity mandates government rationing and control, which is a socialist objective. For example, from the article:

Dr Nils Bohmer, a nuclear physicist working for a Norwegian environmental NGO, Bellona, said developing thorium was a costly distraction from the need to cut emissions immediately to stave off the prospect of dangerous climate change.

"The advantages of thorium are purely theoretical," he told BBC News.

"The technology development is decades in the future. Instead I think we should focus on developing renewable technology - for example offshore wind technology - which I think has a huge potential to develop.”

Unspoken is another motivation for socialist opposition to thorium energy generation: thorium reactors can process spent nuclear fuel from conventional reactors into a harmless by-product, removing the chief environmental argument against nuclear.

Behind the complex smokescreen on any topic, and particularly energy, socialists desire to destroy human productivity so that they can control the miserable human beings who survive their pestilence.

B*LL-SH*T! Reflects that you are either completely ignorant of published data, or just an outright liar.

It's called "sarcasm". In the same exact vein as which you posted the reply that it responded to.

But I'll expand it a bit using an exact chemical analogy. Suppose I want to convert benzene to cyclohexane. I can put benzene and hydrogen in a sealed pot, and jack up the temperature and pressure. Some of the benzene will be converted to cyclohexane, but there will be side reactions and low conversion efficiency. As "hot fusion".

OR, I can toss in a heterogeneous catalyst, and the reaction will happen and a much lower temperature and pressure, and with much greater yield.

In both cases, the overall reaction is hydrogen plus benzene to cyclohexane. But in the case of the heterogeneous catalyst, the exact steps that take place are not known. As "cold fusion".

You're quite welcome. I try to treat respondents as they treat me. You started out with sarcasm, and I replied in like manner. You make a blanket statement with zero evidence, and I say so. Your response is just so grossly incorrect that it is obvious that, like all the other skeptopaths, you have not bothered to look into the data...AT ALL.

Now, if you are just ignorant, that can be remedied. Read Charles Beaudette's book "Excess Heat". He specifically treats that topic THOROUGHLY. It's a bit dated (published 2002), but covers more than sufficient data to make the case.

Just FYI, the Pons and Fleischmann experiment done at the MIT physics department back in the late 1980's that suppposedly "debunked" P&F DID SHOW EXCESS HEAT, but "someone" massaged the data in the publication to remove that specific part of the dataset. Eugene Mallow (working at MIT at the time) went to the original dataset and blew the whistle on the SCIENTIFIC FRAUD perpetrated by "someone" (never identified) in that department. Mallow then resigned from MIT in protest at the refusal of those involved to correct the error. The info on this is easily available online, in full, from Mallow (now deceased...murdered in a "home invasion").

Interesting that Pons and Fleischmann were never able to replicate their experiment ....
