In the end, President Obama was unwilling to delay the individual mandate or make federal employees exempt from Obamacare. If you agree with Obama that this request from the GOP was too radical, then you believe the GOP caused the shutdown. If you think the GOP’s requests were reasonable, then you blame Obama for the shutdown.
even though Obama and his media whores convinved America the GOP were the cause of the shutdown, it’s extremely ironic that a delay in implementation is exactly what we need. Perhaps the media could have uncovered the ‘glitches’ and informed an ignorant public before jumpig on the it’s ‘the GOP’s Shutdown’ bandwagon?
In any case, the Dems continue to harken back to the shutdown like it was the ‘good old days.’ I still think the average uniformed voter would be shocked to learn the shutdown was over the mess we are now living through.
