The Army has conducted Equal Opportunity Training for many years. Most of the instructors are trained by Department of Defense Schools, but many take course work at civilian universities, and many of these equal opportunity specialists learn what almost all students in a civilian university learn: the leftist version of a race based grievance society. They reflect the trend in society that identifies anyone who proclaims their faith or who does not embrace the progressive world view as an extremist.

I believe that these people are getting their instructional material online, probably pointed there by their activist colleagues in the EO community. Things like this can take on a life of their own, fueled by zealots who believe that what they are doing will meet with the approval of their political masters. It will need to be stamped out again and again as it is not going to go away.

After all, we know the Obama administration is replacing commanders in the military with ones who agree with them.

This point is incorrect. We don't know this and there is no evidence that shows this to be true. The examples cited are of the type and number that occur historically. Senior leaders, from time to time have zipper problems, drink too much, gamble, run their ships aground, and abuse their positions of privilege and authority. It's much worse among the political class, of course, since they are seldom sacked by the voters, especially if they are Democrats.

The Army repeatedly told me the briefings were isolated incidents where instructors used materials that were not approved by the military.

It is hard for me to imagine any military training being provided where the lesson plan was not approved by a senior officer.

This just does not pass the smell test.

I suspect the one who put this in place at the get-go was the same who pushed through the pro-homosexual program and the sensitivity training for the wussification of the Armed Forces.(FNU Johnson). He is gone now, taking over Homeland Security. Ain’t it great!! (sarc)
