Sea going bell hops sums it up (far right).
Yeah, he’s a muslim.
I remember Admiral ZumWalt ran the Navy the hundreds of millions on the debacle of the uniform changes then that were later reversed.
Besides being a stupid idea why would anyone think it was necessary to waste $8 million of the US taxpayers money to do this?
Are they pink?
That’s a decades old joke between sailors and marines. Even my father in law ... retired WW2 USN used to call the Marines sea going bellhops for fun.
They could team up with Amtrak and buy in larger bulk.
I haven’t seen the obvious comment about that picture yet: It’s not the hat that looks gay as much as it’s the guy on the far right that’s modeling the hat that looks gay.
Marine models?...Oh brother!
I don’t think it looks girly. I think the new uniforms look banana republic. Something a Generalissimo Maximus would wear.
That’s consistent with America’s trajectory. So I guess we should just go with it.
Maybe U.N.?
That’s great. the head of the st. patrick’s gay parade. Homobama.
Reminds me of the unsightly uniforms the USAF enlisted men wore in the 50’s with their summer tunics like the “bush jacket”. Winter blues were often referred to as a Greyhound busdrivers’ uniform.
Anyone with pride in their uniform, after basic training, bought the long-sleeved gabardines. It was rumored that some general’s wife came up with the design for the post WWII uniform.
Typical government attitude to allow an outsider to design something to be used by others that they themselves have no intention of using. Reminds me of 0-Care.
I would say fortunately ...

And they were probably were "Made in China" - I recall some flags or berets were changed some time ago (l.o.n.g. ago!) that were made in China.
I think they were ditched at great cost.
