I don't believe it. You shouldn't, either.
If people follow your advice, a unintentional consequence will be a sizeable reduction in Federal Receipts.
That is more than double the number of people overestimated to join the exchanges.
Can you imagine the bloodbath when the Employer Mandate kicks in this time next year? Probably 3-4 times that many.
Not just my idea...There are a few others with the same intentions...
And if the spinoff is a reduction in Federal Receipts, well, hells bells...
I guess Uncle Sucky will just have to live off bread and water for a while...And for those that expect their livelyhoods to continue to benefit from the 50-51% of us still providing for their lifestyles...I guess its just gonna be hard to subside on walking to the mailbox and nothing being in there, ya suppose???
And don’t come at me with what about the Vets and their pension checks and all that...That was earned, not entitled...Big difference...
I thought that I had read a while ago that the insurers all knew a long time ago that they were going to dump these people, and that they were directed by Obama not to tell anyone until after October 1, 2013. Can anyone find info on that?
What the hell, cancel them, raise the price, and have it mandatory to buy a new policy... Makes perfect sense!
I wonder what incentuve these big insurance carriers have to do the administrations bidding???
What could possibly be a motivation to shoot yourself in the foot???
At this time there’s probably only about 200k obamacare signups. But more than 3 or 400k people have been notified that their insurance is now cancelled due to Obamacare. That means it’s a net negative number of Americans who have signed up for Obamacare at this time.
How many so far have signed up for Obamacare?

Is this possible? The Wonkblog site shows zero accounts created so far for California, Nevada, Connecticut, Kentucky, Maryland, New York, and Washington.
You need a better source. NY, for example:
37,000 enrolled in N.Y. health exchange so far
ALBANY, N.Y. Nearly 174,000 New Yorkers have applied for health insurance through the state's new exchange, and more than 37,000 have fully enrolled, the state Health Department said.
Wednesday was the first time that the state had detailed the number of people enrolled in the program. Previously, officials would say only the number who had signed up through the state's website, not how many had picked a health-care provider.
The uninsured customers often found that they were eligible for Medicaid, the federal health insurance for the poor and disabled, the state said Wednesday.
Nearly two-thirds of the new enrollees registered for Medicaid because of their income levels; New York has more than 5 million people on Medicaid. The rest of the new enrollees, more than 13,000, picked private insurance, the Health Department said.
Washington State:
Washington Healthplanfinder Builds on Strong Start: 35,000 Enrollments Since Oct. 1 Launch
Washington State marketplace sees 30 percent increase in health coverage sign-ups
OLYMPIA, Wash. Washington Healthplanfinder today announced 35,000 residents have enrolled in health coverage since Oct. 1. An additional 56,000 residents have completed online applications that are awaiting payment due in December.
Its clear that residents here in Washington are very interested in this new opportunity and the health insurance options that are available, said Richard Onizuka. We are continuing to reach out to individuals through a statewide advertising campaign, our community partners and insurance brokers and most recently our mobile enrollment tour, which kicked off last week.
Wonkblog is pro-Obama. That makes them a good source for derisive information about Obamacare.
Who is your source?
http://www.wahbexchange.org/news-resources/press-room/press-releases/oct-21-data-release
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/10/24/new-york-health-care-exchange/3177787/
It’s apples vs. oranges, since it encompasses different dates in the information.
How many went on Medicaid vs how many bought new insurance policies?
Dumping hundreds of thousands of people into Medicaid might be a good thing. The sooner this system crashes, the quicker we might be able to rebuild something sane. Like people paying for health care without the government mucking up the free market. People being responsible for their health, their lives.
You can see all the details for Washington, if you’re interested, at the link I posted in #30. Note there are 56,000 completed apps for commercial exchange coverage with premiums due in December. Most exchanges don’t consider these to be fully enrolled until the applicant pays the first month’s premium (who wants to pay before December).
