You said; “I nominate Tom DeLay.”
And you do not have to be a congressmen to be the speaker IIRC
I love it, but it’s a fantasy.
Hide all their Viagra!
No way! He’s the House’s big hero now.
To who? To the democrats and a few RINO republicans that’s who!
Again I ask you WHO did he receive a standing ovation from? Name some names.
And if you can’t then it is clear you believe whatever some media whore tells you.
The fact is that all over the internet the grassroots are calling for his head. AND the disinformation of his standing ovation is not backed by names, video, verifiable reports or neutral third parties.
Boehner’s days are numbered.
If they are opposed to it, why did they give him a standing ovation?
if they’re for it why is he going to violate the hastert rule to bring it to a vote?
They knew he was going to cave when it came down the alleged wire. Had the majority of Republicans been able to come up with an alternate bill last night, things might have been different.....but I doubt it.
No matter what the House proposed, the Senate and Obama were going to reject it. They wanted to call the shots and did. They could have cared less if the country defaulted, in fact, it would have made it easier to bury the Repub’s.
We need to find more decent Conservative candidates to take the party back. Now is not the time to give up......now is the time to make plans.
Boehner actually did try to fight a little bit on this one. They need to go farther and start putting Tparty Conservatives in some of the leadership positions. What’s the worst that could happen?
The problem is, I think there are more than a few RINOs in reality. Now that it’s over for a while, they want to keep a low profile and not look like they support Cruz.
Boner PURGED Tea Party members out of leadership positions. Him and Eric Cantor.
To say he needs to put more into leadership, one forgets he removed them FROM leadership positions. He ain’t ever gonna put them back in.
McConnell and the Senate Republicans are the ones who ensured NOTHING was going to come from it, they effectively bypassed the house and the minute that happened it was over.
I am not calling Boehner great at all but honestly I think he did about as good as could be expected when he knew, just like everyone else with a few neurons firing that he had a losing hand to play.
The Senate Republicans were never going to seriously back any house efforts and everyone knew it.
