"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

If it weren’t for Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Mike Lee, there wouldn’t be anyone in DC standing up for us!

“You’re a communist revolutionary, Van Jones,” Beck said on his show Friday after playing a clip of the Cruz-Jones confrontation. “This is one of the most dangerous men in America.”

Fortunately for America, our Prezzy of the United Steezy is currently burning the “I am a clean, articulate Negro who talks in measured, even tones so my radical communist opinions must be accepted and obeyed without question” card to ashes and then grinding the ashes into the dirt.

Guys like Van Jones are going to have a harder act to follow, and will face a more skeptical American public

As Cruz hews to hard line, other 2016 contenders go mute on shutdown
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/3077997/posts

[snip] ...in the aftermath of Cruz’s fiery speech... The shutdown went unmentioned by Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), both early champions of the defunding battle. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), who is working toward a compromise with the White House on the shutdown and debt ceiling that does not erode ObamaCare, made a short argument for his alternate plan in Friday afternoon video message to the group... Paul’s and Rubio’s dodges, and Ryan’s implicit rebuke, demonstrate that they are seeking to avoid being tainted by the fight’s fallout while avoiding any confrontation with the party’s base. Cruz used his speech to frame the debate over ObamaCare and the government shutdown in stark terms, painting it as a key battle in the larger war for individual freedom. [/snip]

Although Glenn Beck is often derided for his libertarian leanings, Mormon faith and apocalyptic predictions I think he has this one dead on. Van Jones is an admitted communist that despises America and it's values that include individual freedom and the capitalist economic system. Jones is cleaning up his radical revolutionary image and pretending to go 'mainstream' but he won't be able to escape his radical leftist past. Like 'Dr. Strangelove' (Peter Sellers) who couldn't stop his right arm from reflexively making the Nazi salute, Van Jones will eventually show his true colors and once America has had enough of radical socialism, Jones will be cast aside, where he belongs.

Cruz is a leader without a following. The republicans are too concerned with their careers to take any risks.

If the electorate fails to respond now and in 2014, we deserve what we get.

If we take the senate and replace our trembling leaders:

Job one, defeat the Marxists.
Job two, retire the republican stooges.
Job three, return the federal government to it constitutional authority.

> “Van Jones is a communist revolutionary,” Beck said. “He’s a ***brilliant*** man, extraordinarily dangerous.”

Use words carefully and with precision Glen, because ***brilliant*** connotes something of value. A better word would be ‘shrewd’ or ‘evil genius’.

> “He’s also a ***fraud***.”

Romney was also a ***fraud***. Better to use the word ‘thief’ because communism boils down to stealing freedoms and stealing means of production. You can also use the words ‘lazy’ and ‘cowardly’ because such people are not willing to put in the hard work to safeguard freedoms or to create their own means of production. Communists/socialists always have a hand out, will rob a person when no one is looking or when no one can oppose them.

I agree, use words to their best effect.

Be as succinct and exact, and hard-hitting as you can be.

As we in Texas know Ted Cruz is brilliant. Gifted! There are few people who can match him intellectually. He has an amazing mind and is so smart he is an oddity in the federal government. That is one reason why John McCain, someone who I have been around, hates Ted Cruz. Because McCain kinows in his heart and mind he is a dumbass. Seriously, the guy knows it and EVERYTHING about him is a farce.
