Father was not a USA citizen when Cruz was born and that is the reference date/time line for ‘natural born’ eligibility i.e. you are born as a citizen. I have never seen any reference that allows that a choice of parents citizenship is to/can be used for eligibility, probably because the legal world would really be in a quandary as to who is more important in standing as to the citizenship of a child. I know of some old documents that claim the father is paramount as to citizenship but I tend to believe that any such arguments are tenuous as to the USA Constitution. Likewise I know nothing about arguments that the mother with a living father automatically conveys citizenship.
“Don’t push your luck” Luck has not been a reliable feature in my 80 plus years. Had one good spell when getting fitted for the invasion of Japan on Leyte WWII ended. I also never thought that paying to support FreeRepublic with a small monthly amount depended on being lucky instead of the opportunity to independently expressing my opinions. If my participation with others depends on being given ‘luck’ I at my age don’t need it.

Relative to the game of Chess, the three branches of government are the "pieces" all in the back row. The media and teachers are the "pawns" in the front row, protecting the pieces in the back row. Most of the pawns need to be captured first before headway can be made against the pieces.
So, that's how we should go about it. Fight the media and "educational" system first, then the Obama's, Pelosi, McCains, Reids will have no cover.
There, I've solved it.
lol!!!!
The chess analogy was very good and certainly has some strategic merit. We have to go through several protective layers to make headway.
I would posit, however, that the regime may be taken down by an economic debacle of their own making. Black swans are flying all over the place and several are sure to land soon. The economy is really in terrible shape. I hate to sound like a doomsayer but we live in an increasingly distorted economy with asset bubbles, massive debt, persistent unemployment, government strangulation of business, money printing run wild, and increasing income inequality. There are a lot more factors I could cite but you get the idea. The economy is going to break down soon IMO and the severity of the resulting economic pain will eventually lead to change. At least I hope so.
