I believe what they’re trying to promote here is the idea that people are not going to take kindly to the idea that they’re forced to pay for a service that they may not use.

My brother is a good example. I asked him if he was going to sign up for Obamacare on Tuesday. His first reaction, unremarkably, was, “What’s that?” When I explained it, he got a glimmer in his eye like he was happy that he might get health insurance. Then I told him that he was mandated to get it and that it was going to cost him a lot of money. He got very depressed thereafter.

I told him, “If you didn’t vote or you voted for Obama, you did this to yourself.” He’s hopping mad that he has to pay for health insurance. “How can they do that?” he asked me.

“They just can, brother. They just can.”

You can forget it collapsing. Congress[Republicans and Democrats] will make sure that it doesn’t collapse. Recall yesterday [Friday]? That is , until it has accomplished what they designed it to do [put the private insurance companies out of business, put the doctors in private practice out of business, establish a network of agencies to completely control the daily activities of the sheep. Completely Control means determining what each sheep is allowed to buy, to use, to sell, and how they spend their time. And the penalty for violating these regulations. then it will give way to a one payer system.

oh yeah, that pesky equal protection thingy.

oh well, like they like to tell us, the constitution is whatever we say it is on any given day until the day we don`t like it then it`ll mean something else totally different again all based on how we feel and our neo-marxist ideology dictates.

aren`t post-post-constitutional republics fun !?

The people who are promoting the idea of letting it collapse, so that people get pissed off, are not being realistic about the damage that is going to be done to our infrastructure.

They just don’t want to accept that there is evil at the door. The people who want to let it collapse and not fight back, are appeasing Obama as much as anyone else.

Thanks Kaslin.
"Let's get these Democrats on the record supporting this now because it's gonna collapse." Let me tell you something about this. It may collapse. You think Obama's gonna get blamed for that? Who's gonna get blamed when it collapses? Who assigns blame in America? The media. The states are gonna get blamed if they got Republican governors, and Republicans in Congress are gonna get blamed for all this that's going on now if it collapses. But there's another aspect of this that's a little bit frustrating to me.

I’m not advocating for the collapse theory. That never worked for SS, Medicare, Medicaid, or food stamps, as Rush pointed out on Friday. I believe it is a path of inaction and smugness where “See, we told you” is the common phrase.

Americans have grown so accustomed to “eating their peas,” that anything pushed on them by the Fedgov is seen as acceptable so long as there’s “an out.” With Obamacare, there really is no “out.” If you don’t play, you pay.

Meanwhile, while Americans don’t generally like being told what to do, they dislike it even more when a very loud, whipped up minority stands around ballyhooing the auspices of a failed system like the corpse from Weekend at Bernies while an underfunded, underrepresented majority of Americans and their representatives in the Federal houses try to tear down the walls of a system that the majority knows will be a torture chamber unlike any we’ve ever seen.

To whit, Americans don’t like being told what to do, even if they know it won’t benefit them and in all likelihood would mean the complete destruction of America as we know it.

TL;DR: A majority of Americans are stupid.
