I wonder how constitutional it is to pass a law that excludes themselves.
What parts of the Law, which are ignored, make those non-enforcements Constitutional?
You're a suckass of the first magnitude....
-- James Madison I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents.
This author is biased and wrong.
The Clown is not following the Constitution by not enforcing the laws on immigration...but this author is silent.
The Clown is granting waivers and exemptions to this law, in violation of the “equal protection” clause.
The Clown is ignoring the Tenth Amendment, the Fourth Amendment and is doing his damndest to destroy the Second Amendment.
WE aren’t the ones violating the Constitution.
The Marbury v. Madison decision, thank you John Marshall, was a huge contributor to the death of our once great republic.
Well, thanks for the simple explanation.
Certainly the SCOTUS has a role in interpreting the Constitution.
So does the President, as he can veto a law that he holds in unconstitutional and his District Attorneys can use their discretion in prosecution to reduce the enforcement priority.
Congress has a role as they write the law, and as they fund programs for its enforcement.
Citizens and residents have a role as they decide on their daily activities to obey or to flout a law that they may or may not deem to be constitutional.
This post needs a “Barf Alert”. I reckon the same applies to all Jonathan Capehart bloviation ever posted here.
Thanks, now I know how much salt to take with it.
This columnist doesn’t know or like the Constitution.
Nice spin Wapo, but you are full of Shiite.
There is nothing in the Constitution that says Republicans cannot try to change a bad law.
Blow it out your butts.
I used to think the Supreme Court was beyond reproach, but that was before Obama either bought or blackmailed Justice Roberts, and appointed two Dykes to it.
Each time? Sorry, some times changes to Obamacare did pass the Senate and were even signed by Congress. Another thread had a full listing of them.
Also, how many times have the Democrats threatened or tried to cut military spending while our troops were in the field? Abandoning soldiers in active combat is far worse than cutting funding to an unpopular program before it is fully implemented.
Roger that, damn the flak, open bomb bay doors, prepare to drop bombs.

Flaunt, flout. They both sound vaguely gay.
The Constitution doesn’t change every time five idiots vote the same way.
