Obamacare cannot be funded without a House vote. That’s all that needs to be known.

And stop lying. Do not blame any shutdown on the Republicans in the House. They are doing the will of the people. When you blame them for your own obstinate acts, you are lying and you are punishing the people.

It's the primary strategy of the bald-faced-lying liberals - "if you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the 'truth'." They are disciples of Alinsky and will use these tactics at all cost.

That being said, spot on post Mr Robinson!

+1 but, the so called shut down is a canard anyway.

What would be shut down that really matters?

We are learning to do without all kinds of services, including access tours of our White Hut.

I don’t think they are going to shutter anything that makes a difference anyway.

I did have dinner with a lovely woman from Virginia couple of months ago. She is a contractor to the government and was losing something like 4 days a months.

Felt bad for her on the one hand and on the other, looking at the bigger picture, couldn’t help but think “Terrible for her and the country knocked a few Benjamin’s off the debt”.

Jim. I'm utterly amazed that the Republicans can't even find the stomach to say the same simple thing....

"Any government shutdown would be ordered by the petulant President Obama and Senate Democrats"

(Obama and the Democrat Senate) who are clearly ordering the totally radical and unnecessary shutdown the of the federal government.

True, but with the propaganda machine known as the media churning out anti-GOP rhetoric, it will be impossible to convince the pinhead public that 0bama and the dems are to blame.

And when you claim our military won't be paid, you are lying. When you say social security checks won't go out you are lying. Past experience proves that all essential government services will continue. The main thing that will happen if the Democrat President and the Democrat Senate orders the radical shutdown of the government is hundreds of thousand of non-essential government employees will be laid off. Big deal. Life will go on.

Exactly! From National Journal:

In fact, a government shutdown is quite different from the way it is commonly viewed by the public. Although the lapse in discretionary budget authority would likely impact some day-to-day routine operations of the government—such as the National Park Service—essential and necessary functions of the government and ones that have relevant health-based concerns would continue. Social Security and Medicare would likely continue in large part because they are mandatory programs;
A government shutdown seems about as scary as the infamous Sequester.

Social security is not a legitimate government function

Why are we funding it?

Shutting down the Federal government is a good idea under any circumstance. The Federal government is an organ of the rinos and the Dims.
The Federal government is a truly repressive totalitarian organization that oppresses producers so a shut down would be a relief, a holiday for most of us.
Starve the beast.

Good afternoon. I hope you are doing well.

Prayers up for healing on the leg. The Lord is always kind and merciful. He hears our petitions.

Sorry Jim, no matter what you say, how accurate and truthful you are, there will be at least 51% of the public blaming Republicans. Take for instance this exchange I had with a progressive/democrat/liberal/socialist...

Me: who you gonna blame if the government runs out of money October 1?
She: the Republicans of course.
Me: why? They don't control the presidency or the Senate. They have very little power.
She: doesn't matter...

And you know as well as I do that the state controlled media will reinforce that meme 24/7. From services that will continue (SS and VA) to services that will be interrupted (EBT and Sec 8), doesn't matter. Matter of fact, Ted Cruz will get the blame, and the MSM will make that ridiculous ascertain stick.

Take care of yourself.

I couldn’t agree more....

But the GOP MUST get out in front of this issue and beat the enemy to the punch with the messaging as to how a shutdown came to pass. The dems are going to press the narrative it’s all the Repubs’ fault.

I’ll summarize it a few words: deathcare is a nation killer. And if we fail, the next steps are not going to be parsing words over the implementation, it’s going to be people petitioning their state legislatures for a divorce.

I am opposed to secession. But that’s where this is going whether I like it or not. Choose carefully, senators.

The bill passed by the House fully funds all legitimate government functions.

Heard a local attorney yesterday say that "a minority like the Tea Party" shouldn't be able to shut the government down. Dems are throwing everything they have at the spin that essential government functions like food stamps and social security checks are threatened.

The people do not want federal government controlling their healthcare and they are speaking through their elected representatives.

Regarding the people demanding that the House of Representatives defund constitutionally indefensible Obamacare, some patriots have been referencing Federalist No. 58 which was written by James Madson.

In Federalist No. 58, Madison actually emphases that one of the main reasons that the Founding States delegated the power of the purse solely to the House of Representatives (HoR) was give the HoR a means by which the people could redress their grievances against the Oval Office for usurping legislative powers (my wording), not that Obama would dare think of usurping Congress's powers. =^O

Here's key wording from Federalist No. 58:

The House of Representatives cannot only refuse, but they alone can propose, the supplies requisite for the support of government. They, in a word, hold the purse that powerful instrument by which we behold, in the history of the British Constitution, an infant and humble representation of the people gradually enlarging the sphere of its activity and importance, and finally reducing, as far as it seems to have wished, all the overgrown prerogatives of the other branches of the government. This power over the purse may, in fact, be regarded as the most complete and effectual weapon with which any constitution can arm the immediate representatives of the people, for obtaining a redress of every grievance, and for carrying into effect every just and salutary measure.
